SDC August Challenge Links

PLEASE READ ALL RULES BEFORE LINKING

Please remember you can use any stamps now for our challenge, but only one entry per person.  We will draw 2 random winners on the first week of our challenge in September from all those who played in the August challenges.

We are no longer accepting creations using digi stamps.  These will be deleted, we appreciate those that play with us each week and we welcome those using rubber or clear stamps.

Please link DIRECTLY to your creation, not to your blog.  You MUST  include the challenge # (which can be found at the Stampotique Designer's Challenge blog) behind your name (any not linking directly to your creation AND having the challenge # will be deleted and not eligible for prize).   For example if I'm entering it would look like this- MYNAME-SDC73 (or whichever challenge # it is) .

We ask that if you have comment verification turned on, that you would consider turning this on and doing comment moderation instead.

Please use Inlinkz below to link up your challenge.

**Change to Stampotique submission rules:  You will now have until the first challenge of the following month to submit your entries-we will only have one Inlinkz per month; so today marks the start of the challenges for August and it will run through the close of our last challenge for August which will be September 2, 2014 at noon ET**

SDC: August Guest Designer

We are excited to welcome back one of our guest designers for the month of August.  Here's a refresher on more about Gay Peplow.

My name is Gay Peplow and you will find me mostly on my blog http://mustavcoffee-craftymusings.blogspot.co.uk/. I live in Surrey in the UK, have a very patient husband , two sons, a daughter-in-Law and two grand daughters.

Since I was a very small child, I’ve loved the feel of paint in between my fingers, discovering clay was just magic, squidging it is a memory that has stayed with me since school. But I enjoy many forms of art, lino cutting, making 3D models even transforming the back of a lorry into the sea and then the following year into a city skyline for my son’s school fete!

I have had my blog now since 2007 and have really enjoyed making cards and linking up with the lovely crafty people I have encountered. I was on the design Team of the Craft Barn for a couple of years and really enjoyed it. My favourite style is probably clean and simple but it is also the most challenging, to achieve balance and place the elements of a design can take hours.

Stop on over to say hi and visit her throughout the month to check out her designer entries.

SDC158: Black, White and pop of color

Kay here and it is my turn to host the Stampotique Designers' Challenge this week!  What might seem like a simple challenge to most, for some, whose work is generally full of color, it really will be a challenge.  But, for all of us, it's good to try something different. I have been on a black'n'white artistic kick lately because I love the crisp freshness it can bring to a card, journal page or ATC. Whatever you decide to do, keep it black and white with just a pop of color!

Get creative this week and join us!

SDC157: Christmas in July

Hi Gez here, I am delighted to be your hostess for this weeks challenge.

It's never too early to start thinking about Christmas right?!! ;-) I thought it would be nice for us to spread a wave of festive cheer throughout Blogland!

Every year I set out with good intentions and imagine a great big stack of handmade Christmas cards all ready to send out nice and early in December, in reality I think it's happened once! So, lets do it together! Dig deep and crack open the Christmas stash box early!!

This is a fun challenge, I hope you enjoy it too!

The Design Team have lots of creative inspiration to get your festive mojo ringing! Happy creating!

SDC156: Book Inspiration

Hi! My name is France and I'm a bookworm. No doubt there are a lot of other bookworms among our lovely Stampotiquers.

I would like to know about your favorite books. So my challenge for you, should you accept it, is to create a piece, inspired by your favorite book. Let the story, the title, the cover, a quote inspire you! Now you might have a problem choosing your all time favorite book, don't worry, it's not like you are writing it in stone, just pick one. Or maybe your problem is that you don't like reading at all. Here is how to cheat: go for your favorite film based on a book, we won't tell ;)))

SDC155: Newspaper/Magazine

Magda is our hostess this week and here is her challenge!

Hello everyone! It's Magda. I'm back to work after my holidays but still have time for some relaxing. I'm sitting surrounded by books and magazines. Today I would like to ask you to use a newspaper or magazine in your project. It can be a small piece, some images from magazine to make a collage or you can use whole page as a background. Have fun! Can't wait to see your creations!
