SDC14: Not so Sweet 16

SDC14: Not so Sweet 16
THIS WEEK IS A STAMPOTIQUE STAMPS ONLY CHALLENGE, USE OF OTHER STAMPS WILL NOT QUALIFY YOU FOR THE GIFT CERTIFICATE

Hi I'm Kaz and I'm excited and a little nervous about setting my first challenge. This month my eldest niece turns 16, but she's not your typical glittery shoes and handbags card kind of girl. In fact I bought my first Stampotique stamp, Moth Fab, for a card for her on a previous birthday as it is so her and I became hooked on them and here I am a year later on the DT! So I would like to see some (not so) sweet 16 cards for non-girly girls please!

This is a Stampotique Stamps only week,
if you do not own any Stampotique Stamps yet, please join us the first Wednesday of the month for our any stamps goes challenge.

Willy had a tough time choosing her 3 favorites this past challenge but finally narrowed it down to the following, please contact Kim @ khowardga@gmail.com if you would like to display the Stampotique Designer's Favorite badge:

The combination of the background colors and the white embossing is absolutely stunning.

I love all those brave girls with wings in front of the graffiti wall. Great quotes!

The choice of colors is gorgeous. An amazing card with the landscape and the wonderful wings.

We had a whopping 40+ entries for our last challenge, we are thrilled that so many played and we look forward to seeing more for this next challenge!!  Our random winner this week is a lucky on as we have upped the ante to include a $25 gift certificate ($20 towards stamps, $5 towards shipping) from Stampotique and we will be offering this on all challenges going forward.  Without further ado, our winner this week is:

#19 Carol Q

Here is what the design team created this week for our Not So Sweet 16 theme:

Kaz Boughton

Willy Anderson

Vicki Garrett

Sue Roddis

Monique Verbeek

**ALL ENTRIES NOT USING STAMPOTIQUE STAMPS WILL NOT QUALIFY FOR THE WINNING GIFT CERTIFICATE**

SDC13: Wings, Wings, Wings

My name is Willy Anderson and I’m very excited this week as it is my first turn to host the Stampotique Designer’s Challenge. In this challenge we are going to fly with the theme ‘Wings, wings, wings’. Get out your stamps and fly with us.

Kim's favorite picks for the sketch challenge are the following, please e-mail me at khowardga@gmail.com if you would like to display our Favorites button on your blog:

I love what Tracy did with the mushrooms and keeping it with a neutral theme and just a hint of color with the flower.

I'm a sucker for pink & black color combination.  The simple stamping of the image is perfect.

This creation just jumped out at me.  I love the recessed window on the front of the card with the image inside.  Very creative!

It is the first challenge of the month so you can use any stamps but if you have any Stampotique stamps then it would of course be great to see what you can come up with using those.

Our winner for the $15 gift certificate to Stampotique is:  Benedicte
please e-mail Carol to redeem your gift certificate at carol@stampotique.com

Take a look at how our Design Team members interpreted this challenge. The whole team is really looking forward to seeing all your contributions. Come join us with your winged creation for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate to shop at Stampotique Originals. Link up your creation (please copy & paste the direct link to your Stampotique Designer's Challenge) to InLinkz. Links that are not direct to your creation will be deleted.

I Absolutely ADORE what B.J. has done with Jo's Image........... using a non traditional stamp to create a Beautiful and Dreamy Christmas Scene. The colours are rich and yummy and I love all the embellies around the sentiment!

Nice work everyone, it was difficult to choose only three~

And now, some inspiration from our Talented Design Team....... I love the different takes on the sketch!
