Featured Stampers: SDC9 - What Summer Means To You

A BIG thank you to everyone who took time out of their busy summer schedule to play along with our challenge this week.  It sure has been fun reviewing all of the entries as they have been posted.  You are all such talented individuals!!

As the hostess of this challenge, I have the impossible job of selecting a few cards to be featured!  The projects were so diverse and beautifully executed... and a few people managed to finish multiple projects - all just amazing!!!

I definitely have to send a shout out to MaryAnne Walters whose two energetic entries must have taken the equivalent of my crafty time for an entire month!  The results are beautiful, MaryAnne... thank you so much for sharing all of the details in separate posts too - fantastic!

Summertime Card by Miek
Next, I'd like to highlight the beautiful work of Miek Vugts-Coenders.  The color choices for her hot! hot! hot! card are so warm and vibrant, the  clever minimalist composition is very eye catching and use of white pen and stitching is simply charming and effective.  Very nice, Miek!

Shine Card by Sandra
This adorable card by Sandra features two nifty ideas - shiny sunglasses and braided ribbon!  The color scheme is soft and subtle and the layout is just precious.... a fabulously summery card.  Sweet, Sandra!

Again, thank you to everyone who cut boatloads of tiny images with sharp little scissors, glued for hours, sponged and stippled every edge and corner, completed multiple projects, and included the most ingenious ideas into their creations!  We love all of your works of art!

Be sure to check back tomorrow for the winner of this week's draw as well as the unveiling of the next Stampotique Designer's Challenge!

Rubber smiles,
Val :)

Featured Stampers: SDC7 - Use a Template

Thank you to everyone who picked out a template and played along with us this time! Your work was just fabulous!!

I confess that I was so excited to host my first challenge, that I forgot all about the almost impossible task of having to choose a few to feature! Now I'm REALLY struggling to pick just a few - they were all so much fun!

The first one I'd like to show you is by Tracy Evans at Craft Addicts. She has used a tag as her template and traced around it onto watercolor paper. I really like the idea of using various found objects as templates! I had to laugh along with the sentiment that reminds me so much of my friend, Wendy, who has 3 children plus takes in an additional 4 children for day care.

The next project I would like to share is by MaryAnne at Scrappy Sticky Inky Mess. She took the plunge and tried a pyramid box - a template I've always wanted to try! I laughed so hard I cried when I started to think about a few of the "unsuitable suitors" in my past! Be sure to pop on over to her blog to see the adorable surprise inside!

The final project is by Donna Mundinger at Popsicle Toes. She has used Jokerhat by Kelle McCarter to top this ingenious box where the sides fold open to reveal a little box inside (check out the details on her blog). I like the idea of hiding a box in a box! Additionally, the playful use of color and ribbon as well as the shape of the nesties complements the whimsy of this project.

Thank you again to everyone for playing!
Be sure to check back tomorrow as the winner of this week's challenge draw is revealed along with the next challenge theme!

Kind regards,
Val :)

Featured Stampers SDC#3

This job is so difficult!

It's my turn to choose three faves from the entries so far from all the amazing artwork entered in the Spring has Sprung challenge. There are still a few days left to join in with the fun, so please still enter if you have something Springy to share.

The chance to win the $15 gift coupon to spend on rubber at Stampotique is still ongoing until Weds - its a lucky dip as always- but you have to be in it to win it. Thankyou so much to those who have taken part up to now. xx

I've decided that the featured stampers this time are:

Featured Stampers: SDC #2

On behalf of the Stampotique Design Team, we want to thank you again for making the color challenge this week such a success.  We have so much fun seeing the wonderful displays of creativity you all have, it's amazing to see the same stamp being used in two completely different ways.

Before each new challenge, the hostess will be choosing her favorite three favorite creations and this week was my choosing.  This was soooooooooooooooooooo hard to do!  I've gone through all the submissions so many times and each creation had elements I really liked.

Without further ado here were the three I chose as my favorites from the color challenge, in no particular order:

I love the background of her card, and her pairing of the images with the sentiment she added reminded me of ZZ Top.

The colors on Alix' card really just POP out to me and how can you not love her hilarious "Get A Head" card?

I have to say this clean card, with just touches of the color really stood out for me.  Really makes me Dream BIG!!!

Congratulations to our featured stampers this week, if you would like a Featured Stamper's Logo for your blog, please send me an e-mail at khowardga at gmail.com and I will be happy to send it to you.
Thanks to everyone for playing this week, and if you are still wanting to join us, you have until Tuesday evening to submit your entry.

Our new challenge will be posted at midnight on Wednesday, can't wait for you all to join us and see what you create!  This next challenge will be using any stamps, but of course we *love* to you use your Stampotique Originals stamps.

Featured Stampers

We sure hope that you enjoyed our first challenge! We have another coming up this week, so don't miss it! Thank you all for playing and we'll announce the winner with the next post!

The Design Team were very impressed with your creations and we've decided to highlight a few each week. We're in the process of making a button for your blog, should your card be featured here!

The Hostess of the Challenge will choose her three favourite cards and they will be posted here in the challenge forum a few days before the next challenge goes up!

It wasn't an easy task, as there were so many sweet entries, but here are my picks !

Happy Stamping!
