SDC188: Your Favorite Background Technique

Nellie van Leeuwen is our hostess this week and she's got us breaking out our techniques:

What's your favorite technique to make backgrounds?  I love making backgrounds with distress ink on a craft sheet.  I use distress ink, memento, brusho's, distress stains, whatever I feel like working with. Quick and easy and a different and surprising result every time.

SDC187: Use Neon Colors

Astrid Stulemeijer is our hostess this week and has us thinking on the bright side:

At first I was a bit afraid of these intense colors, but after using them, I really love them.  They give your work such a nice "pop".  I challenge you to use at least one neon color.  Can't wait to see your eye popping work!

SDC March Guest Designer

I’m Gerrie Johnnic, aka The Queen of Grunge on my blogspot.  I’ve been stamping for years and I’m still having the time of my life.  My stamping makes me happy!  I love to have fun, LOL and share the laughter in my stamping.  Stampotique and I fit together so well……the stamps allow me to stamp freely, be me, have fun, and share my art with so many people.  You just can’t ask for more than that!  

I love techniques, especially backgrounds.  You can do so much with a great background.  I love color….but I always use a color wheel!  I do not like to fussy cut, therefore I use a lot of masking in my work.  I prefer to work with large stamps, I don’t think small.  Did I tell you I have an A+ personality?  Or did you figure that one out already!
