SDC136: Monochromatic

Tanja is hostessing our challenge this week and here is what she is challenging you with:

Hello crafty fellows, today it's my turn. I selected the theme monocromatic. Well, in fact it's a big challenge to myself.  I actually prefer it a little more colorful. But restrict myself to work tone in tone? First let's see the projects from the amazing Stampotiue Design Team. And now... Come on up! I'm longing to see all your stunning monochromatic artworks.

**Please read new rule instituted with this challenge-we will no longer be accepting digi stamp creations as part of our challenges.  Stampotique is a red rubber stamp company and we prefer to see creations with stamps versus those with digital creations.  These entries will be deleted and will not be eligible for the prize.  Thank you for understanding.**

SDC135: Use Acetate

Corrie is our hostess this week with a clearly fun challenge:

Hello and happy Wednesday to you. Now, if you are anything like me, you will keep all wrapping paper, cardboard and of course acetate (clear plastic). We all get lots of it : packaging. I particularly like acetate to use in my projects, whether it is to stamp on or use it in any other way. I just love it. So this week I would like YOU to use a bit of acetate. Let your imagination run wild and surprise me !!!

SDC134: Perfect Pairs

Kathi Rehrek is our hostess with the mostess this week:

It's almost Valentine's Day. Valentine's Day makes me think of couples, so my challenge is called Perfect Pairs.

Use two (2) of an item so that things are in pairs. This can be two stamped images, two embellishments, two layers of patterned paper, two colors, etc.

See how many pairs you can use in your project. Just be sure to use at least one perfect pair and have fun!

SDC133: Heart in your Art

Jackie is our hostess this week and she's got a lovely little challenge ahead for us:

In Ancient Rome 13, 14 and 15th of February were celebrated as Lupercalia, a pagan fertility festival. By the mid 18th century, the passing of love notes had become popular in England, precursor to the St Valentines Day card as we know it today. Early cards were made of paper and lace. By the 19th century they became so popular that factories started to mass- produce them.

So as the 14th approaches it's time for you to put a heart in your Art and then show us what you have made.

I am looking forward to seeing all the different ways you add a heart to your art!

February Guest Designers

We are thrilled this month to announce double the fun! We've got two guest designers lined up this month at Stampotique Designer's Challenge and here they are to tell us a little about themselves:

Hi, I’m Lisa. By day I’m a librarian, by night (and at weekends) I’m an inky-caped supercrafter…well, maybe in my dreams! I’m an ink fiend, a devotee of all things Stampotique, and a collector of an enormous number of stamps. I live in the Midlands in the UK, have two beautiful children and an husband who understands my need to regularly get inky fingered. I’m delighted to be a guest designer, in fact, I can’t quite believe my luck, and I’m looking forward to sharing my projects with you this month. You can check out my blog here: http://lisasparkleandstamps.blogspot.com/

Hello, my name is Trish Latimer, and I'm thrilled to be guest designing for Stampotique this month!
I am a full time mixed media artist, with a passion for all things messy, painty and inky! I love all things colourful and quirky, and am happiest creating with lots of layers and textures.
I Have been crafting for around 15 years, and teaching others how to craft for nearly as long! I currently write and design for Craft Stamper magazine here in the UK, and also share my other passion (beads and jewellery) through my designs for Beads And Beyond magazine. I'm also currently working with Docrafts to try and bring a little altered art to their papercraft ranges!
To see more of my work ( and all the step by steps on how to create my Stampotique projects!), please pop on over to:www.inkpaintbeads.blogspot.co.uk
