SDC40: It's Tag Time! Group 2

It’s “TAGTIME” this week.

Nellie is our hostess for the current challenge and here is what she says about her challenge theme:

I love to work on a tag. For me it feels like it somehow invites you to think and work in another way than when you’re making cards. So I challenge you to make a tag or some project in which you use a tag. Any size, any color as long as there’s at least one tag involved in your artwork.

I used a real king size tag for this challenge. It’s 8,5 inch long and almost 4,5 inch wide. Kate Crane’s DVD “Right from a blank page” inspired me when making the background of my tag.

You can use stamps from any company for this challenge. But even better, grab your Stampotique stamps and get stamping!

Group Two:

Join us by linking in your tag here using any stamps.

Wanted to send a big Squishy Hug to all of you who posted a Humorous Birthday Card!!! It was really difficult to choose my three favourites, 'cause they all made me smile. Thanks again for Playing!

So now for my Four Faves..............I KNOW, I know, but I just couldn't pick 3~~~

First up, this Awesome card by Tracy! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the background, purple is my FAVOURITE Colour  and Wizard of Oz is my Fave movie and this just made me think of it and perhaps that the main girl was Dorothy gone bad!!!! hehe....yeah, I have quite the imagination in my old age!!! Love that spider too!

This Ghostly cards neutral colour scheme by Gay really appealed to my senses. I really love those transparent skull heads and of course those pumpkins are some of my favourite stamps! The card just has a ghostly feel to it!

Love Eric.........LOVE LOVE the sentiment and LOVE LOVE LOVE the background on the cool card by Katja

And now for the SHOWSTOPPER!!!!

This card by Sherry totally had me in stitches!!!! Oh my goodness, I laughed so hard I think I might have even peed a little.......yep, that's what happens when you get to be my age! Thank goodness the years have allowed me to take everything with a grain of salt, including laugh lines, stretchy skin, silver hair and occasional bouts of incontinence.........hope I'm not offending anyone.....just stating the facts!!!

Anyhow I absolutely LOVE the Hair on this babe and her TUTU as well! I am Certain that when I turn 50, I will wear a purple tutu!  After all, purple is my favourite colour you know!!!

Thanks again for playing~

SDC39: Humorous Birthday- Group 1

Welcome to the 2nd week of our current challenge, here is a little re-cap regarding the theme Vicki issued us:
Hi, Vicki here! Since today is my Birthday,  I'm excited about sharing a Birthday Challenge with you......you must send me all your cards~ (Just kidding! lol) anyway, at my age, in order to deal with deteriorating gravity, laugh lines and achy joints,  humour has become a fabulous coping mechanism!!!

So here's the challenge: create a humorous Birthday Greeting! Something Funny, Sarcastic........perhaps an image that will evoke a giggle or a good belly laugh, which I particularly enjoy! What is even funnier (to me) is that it's Challenge#39......hehe.......I have some pals that have been 39 for quite some time! If the truth be known, in my experience, life begins at 40!

I can't wait to see what you create!!! Don't forget that one lucky player will win some Stampotique Bucks!  This is a Stampotique only week so please remember to use those Stampotique stamps on your creations

We hope you will join us for our current challenge, you can link up your creation using Stampotique stamps here.

Welcome Our October Guest Designers

Stampotique Originals is THRILLED beyond belief to have not one, but TWO guest designers this month!
Here is a little bit about each of them and you will love what they will be sharing this month for both our challenges and some additional projects they each created!  Watch out for their debut's next week.

Roc Nicholas is a self taught artist who lives in Brodheadsville, Pennsylvania.   She works out of her home based art studio wheres she also teaches art and stamping classes. She loves to experiment and uses a variety of different media, but loves to include rubber stamps, when creating her art. Roc was a contributor to the book “Good Mail Day: A Primer for making Eye-Popping Postal Art” as well as other art and international stamping magazines. You can see more of her art on her blog at www.whatsuproc.blogspot.com

And one of Stampotique's very own designers is joining us this month as well:

Mixed-media artist Amy Wellenstein is drawn to the printed word, the graphic image, and the stories they tell when combined.  She specializes in collage, jewelry, and paper arts.  Formally trained in metalsmithing, Amy constructs intimate contemporary pieces of sterling silver filled with bits of ephemera, found objects, and vintage beads.  The results are tiny narratives to bless and adorn the wearer.
Since 2001, Amy has taught collage, jewelry, and paper arts workshops in Arizona, California, and New England.  Her work has been featured in Somerset Studio magazine, several books, and other paper arts publications.

Amy lives in Peoria, Arizona with her scuba-diving husband and TWITCH the cat.
